How does a Portacool air cooler work?
How exactly does our energy-efficient cooling work? The cooling has an evaporative cooler that independently extracts heat from the air by evaporation. Essential components of the cooler are the patented Küül pads. The pads are made of compressed paper and have small channels. The water pump in the cooler pumps water up through the small channels of the pads. This allows the pads to be kept wet everywhere. Then the warm air is sucked through the pads. The water in the pads evaporates and this creates cold air. Finally, the cooled air is powerfully blown out by the air cooler. The Küül pads have the fine property that the warm air is cooled 20% extra. In addition, they ensure that pollutants are filtered out of the air. So you also have cleaner air in your room.
